The
Mass Effect 3 multiplayer is no small feat accomplished by Bioware. It is a magnificent combination of RPG and
strategy, much like the single player. The ability to finally enjoy the Mass
Effect universe with your friends and family makes the experience absolutely
stunning. The new feature includes loads of content that can take months to
become completely familiar with.
There
are 3 aspects that make and keep the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer diverse, and
they are Races, Classes, and Maps. Currently, there are a total of 10 races to
pick from when playing a map, each with their own class compatibilities. The 6
classes in the game that you may pick from are Vanguard, Adept, Sentinel,
Soldier, Infiltrator, and Engineer. These classes bring unique skill sets that
change based on the race you picked, thus adding more complexity to the entire
system, which in my book is always a plus.
The
last thing that makes the multiplayer very interesting is the maps and enemies
you can fight. Each map requires its’
own strategy, and each enemy changes that strategy. Reapers are very organic
based, so in many cases Engineers and Infiltrators are not as effective, but on
the other hand Geth are very tech based, so Engineer and Infiltrator have a lot
more potential in combat. Teams must adjust to situations very fast with such
dynamic game play.
In the
end, Mass Effect single player and multiplayer add up to a great combination,
and even if you can’t get passed the “poor” ending at the end of single player,
you will without a doubt be pleased by the features that multiplayer brings
you.
